It must be difficult to resume a legendary and iconic brand like Hermes, especially as a designer Christophe Lemaire, the highest-profile gig before taking the reins of French luxury giant was the first of Lacoste. These are two very different positions, but Lemaire was able to incorporate his own brand of sportswear for the crisp identity Hermes reasonably well.
